Webinar

Industrial Safety and Risk Management in Hydrogen projects

Thursday, June 29th, 2023

11:00 am - 11:45 am CET

Green hydrogen, green ammonia, e-methanol and others are increasingly sought after as cleaner fuels to drive decarbonization. With the growing size and complexity of green molecule projects, industrial safety and risk management needs to be fully integrated in the engineering of industrial hydrogen projects.

As part of our commitment to a carbon-neutral future, Tractebel has developed a comprehensive safety approach to apply during pre-feasibility, feasibility and detailed design project stages to help mitigate safety risks.

Join this webinar to learn about our safety approach with examples of applications for different projects.

We hope you can join us.

Damien SEYS
Risk & Safety Engineer – Tractebel Belgium

Damien is part of Tractebel's Industrial Safety & Risk Management team. With a background in mechanical engineering and nuclear safety, he completed a Master of Safety Engineering at KULeuven where he specialized in Hydrogen Safety, backed by his strong conviction that Hydrogen would be the key to unlock full decarbonation of our human activities.

Since then, he has been working on a number of Hydrogen projects of all scales and types. His day-to-day job is supporting the development of projects by performing safety studies and risk assessments such as fire & explosion modelling, calculation of separation distances, organizing HAZID or HAZOP workshops or coordinating technical safety between stakeholders and disciplines.
